2022 Euro Trophy provisional calendar announced
Easykart Euro Trophy is excited to announce its provisional calendar for the 2022 season.
The fourth year of activity will be composed of three races in Italy and in Germany.
The opening race day will take place on Saturday, May 28, with the first “Night Race” of the season at the “Circuito di Pomposa” (Ferrara, Italy), the circuit of the Trophy’s first-ever race in May 2018. On Saturday, July 2, the European Easykart circus will move to Wackersdorf (Germany) -one of the most important European circuits that hosted several FIA Karting races- for another spectacular “Night Race”. The season Finale will take place on October 1st and 2nd at Bolzano (South Tyrol, Italy), the track surrounded by the Alps that crowned also the 2021 champions after a thrilling final day of competitions.
The trophy will have four categories: Easykart 60, Easykart 100, Junior Shifter (KZ Junior) & BMB Challenge and valuable prizes for overall winners will be announced shortly.
Considering the high number of event clashes in the different countries, and pursuing the goal of making things as easy as possible for drivers, teams and families, the Easykart Switzerland and DAI Trophy managements have established the following rule: for the overall victory in each category, the two best Pre-finals and the two best Finals will be counted. In this way, the driver who participates in all the rounds will have more available scores to choose from, while the chances of victory for the driver who will miss a race day will not be influenced.
The weekend format will consist of a “one-day” schedule with warm-up, qualifying sessions, prefinals and finals -except for the final race in Bolzano in order to have more time to carry out the whole program under the natural light on Sunday. Furthermore, all the sessions (prefinals and finals included) will be regulated by time and not by laps.
Organized by Easykart Switzerland, in close cooperation with the promoter DAI Trophy from Austria, the main goal of the championship is to offer a platform for all the European Easykart drivers to race together in the same international tracks and events -under Switzerland’s official race calendar.
This international reality was born in 2018 from a co-production between different national championships such as Easykart Czech Republic, Easykart Switzerland, DAI Trophy and Easykart Italy. After the forced break in 2020 due to the Covid 19 outbreak, the Euro Trophy was back in 2021 with drivers coming from Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
According to the Easykart Spirit, our competition is “easy” for every European Easykart Driver who wants to participate in the races, as we’ve minimized the mandatory requirements and rules.
More info will come soon. Stay racing, stay tuned… and think Euro Easy! J
